This project included the construction of three natural turf sports fields for professional soccer training for MLS team Toronto FC. Two of the fields were built to Subair specifications with a USGA root zone over a stone choker layer with sub-drains and completed with washed sod. This construction mirrors the underground drainage system used at BMO Field. The third field was constructed with standard sub-drainage. A fourth field was completed using synthetic turf over a granular ‘O’ base with subdrains, c/w grade beam to support a dome for year-round use. The project also included installation of an irrigation system and berm contouring. The completed facility meets the Club’s vision for an elite-level training grounds, modeled after top clubs in Europe.
