The new Salt Management Facility (SMF) is approximately 13,000 sq.ft. in area with a 15m high structure, able to provide storage for 6,000 tons of salt and a total of 88,500 litres of brine storage capacity in above ground plastic tanks. The SMF Project consists of a general site work, pre-engineered salt storage building, exterior brine storage and dispensing, new material bunkers, retaining walls, soil improvements, hydrants and watermain, stormwater management (SWM) pond, new driveway connection, electrical service connections, and site security features including perimeter fencing and sliding gates. This Project also includes specialized decommissioning and demolition of the existing compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling system.
