As one of the leading hardscape manufacturers in the world with premium products from pavers and slabs to retaining walls and wall caps, Techo-Bloc, with the construction of their new Ayr facility, is seeking to establish a new physical presence in the Southwestern Ontario market. With existing facilities in Quebec and parts of the US, Gateman-Milloy partnered with Techo-Bloc to provide complete Construction Management Services through the entire development process from land acquisition to full scale construction. The more than 90,000sqft facility is equipped with state-of-the-art production equipment that will continue Techo-Bloc’s ability to serve this critical market and will be home to more than 75 new employees once fully operational. The 2-storey office will serve as the Ontario headquarters housing sales and administrative personnel and includes key training facilities for its many retailers and landscape installer customers. With a combination of insulated metal panels, reflective glazing and fiber-cement exterior cladding, the building provides a striking disposition in the former quarry site. Gateman-Milloy was pleased to provide complete in-house civil and landscape installation resources while also partnering with our local subcontractor base for the construction of the building. Full project management and administrative support, along with full-time project supervision provided a transparent methodology to our Client and allowed us to insert our construction expertise into all components of this project from start-up through to full operation.
